Dr. Herzog was recently interviewed on TWC-NEWS about neck pain. He talks about how common it is for neck issues to present with shoulder and/or arm pain.

Herzog says most patients who have neck pain don’t require surgery, they can be treated with ibuprofen or Tylenol. Herzog says more serious neck problems can be overlooked because the pain is anywhere but the neck.

“Some people think that they do not have a problem in their neck because they have pain or numbness and tingling is in the shoulder and arm, but often times these are caused by neck problems,” said Herzog.
